St. Patrick’s Day Weekend Festivities

May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warmly upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields and
Until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

14/365 = Was worth a shot

Soooo blogging every. single. day. is difficult. At least for me and especially because I am not working on any kind of special project that would provide me with material to post about each day. Truly, most of my blog ideas were pretty random. This means I’ll still be blogging, just not every 24 hrs, so you don’t have to read about what I had for lunch or see just how cute my cats are (again, and again) . . .

Methinks this will be more fun – or at least less grueling – and provide better blog posts if anyone happens to drop by. Really, this is just a personal experiment in a public space to see how I handle personal challenges. I’m willing to admit when something doesn’t work and make adjustments with renewed commitment to try again. DING: BEGIN ROUND TWO!!

13/365 = MySpace? What’s that??

Hey, has anyone checked out MySpace lately?

I read the other day how they were losing out horribly to Facebook and then remembered that I still have an account and webpage with them posted online. As I was reviewing my “page,” I started reminiscing about how “cool” it had been when I first signed up, only soon thereafter to realize how incredibly cluttered the site was and how spam was slowly consuming entire message boards.

Apparently, Facebook “poked” them into revamping the whole user interface because now MySpace has a pretty quirky looking logo to match a more aesthetically pleasing and better functioning website. While I won’t be using it any time soon, I applaud the company for playing to their strengths and catering to users who use it to promote music groups and discuss celebrity gossip. It looks a right-side better than it did, before Facebook domination showed the world what successful social media actually looked like. Even though, there  is some concern about Facebook’s privacy settings – or lack thereof – but that’s another post.
